our mission

As educators, we interact with many students who display their creative aptitude every day. However, most scholars lack a platform or programs to manifest their expression. Extracurricular options in Detroit's public and charter schools are limited, leaving both parents and schools tasked with the responsibility of finding affordable and high-quality after-school programs for their students. Many programs available to youth in Detroit aren’t engaging to contemporary youth, fail to provide art education, and are typically found outside of the perimeter of the city or the area encompassing their neighborhood. We address these issues via mobile art workshops that employ a more hands-on experience to knowledge acquisition via project-based learning. Students acquire new skills and master their process through strategically designed projects and performances. Consequently, aiding the association between knowledge and real-world application.

Through this holistic approach, students have a risk free environment to try and learn new things, and a platform for peer-to-peer mentoring to help instill character and generate transferable skills. Countless students, especially those the furthest from opportunity are under prepared for problem-solving in today's economy. Our programs outfit students for academic, personal, and career success, and readies young people to rise to the challenges of their lives and the world they will inherit. In conjunction with our strategic partners, and by implementing our dynamic teaching approach, project-based-learning, we are able to ensure engaged, modern, and capable cohorts who are well equipped to tackle challenges and thrive in the 21st century.
